YOUNG PROFESSIONALS FORUM

The Centro Conservazione e Restauro “La Venaria Reale” will host on July, 2 2020 the first edition of the Young Professionals Forum, an international event aimed at young professionals of cultural heritage.

​Following what is happening in Italy and around the world, the Forum has been given a new guise to allow everyone to participate, in this first and unrepeatable edition.

​The idea of keeping this appointment represents a sign of hope, an opportunity for recovery and a new impetus for the community of young professionals.

The new version of the Forum is entirely digital and free.

Stemming the Tide: Global Strategies for Sustaining Cultural Heritage through Climate Change

A two day conference on the intersection between cultural heritage and climate change at the Smithsonian American Museum. Includes Heritage at Risk: A Dialogue on the Effects of Climate Change, a conversation between six specialists about the threats of climate change on cultural heritage, held at the conclusion of the conference.

A conference organised to provide a platform for scientific discussion about the roll chemistry plays in cultural heritage preservation. Amongst the topics this year is sustainable materials and methods and environmental chemistry aspects in cultural heritage.

ICOM DEMHIST: Historic House Museums for a Sustainable World: Challenges and Opportunities

The conference aims to foster discussion on the challenges of sustainable development that museums face, and the role they play in pursuing strategies for environmental education, with a focus on historic houses.
